Mark Dierikx
Marc Dierikx studied History at the University of Nijmegen (now Radboud University Nijmegen), where he gained his PhD in 1988. Since then he has been affiliated with the Radboud University, the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW: Programme for Academy Researchers), the London School of Economics, Auburn University (USA), the Smithsonian Institution (USA), the University of Utrecht and the Institute for Netherlands History.
From 1998 to 2009 he was project manager of the source publication entitled ‘Nederlandse Ontwikkelingssamenwerking’ (Dutch Development Cooperation). From 2008-2014 he was project manager of the digital source publication on Netherlands foreign policy on European integration in the period 1950-1986 at Huygens Institute of the KNAW. This project was implemented on assignment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in conjunction with foreign partners. Since 2014 his focus has returned to the history of air transport and its relation to foreign policy.
