Prof. dr. Clinton Oster was Professor of Public and Environmental Affairs at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. Oster's research includes air traffic management and aviation infrastructure, aviation safety and airline economics.

He currently is chair of the National Research Council, Transportation Research Board, Committee for The Study of Traffic Safety Lessons from Benchmark Nations and member of the National Aviation Advisory Group, U.S. Government Accountability Office.
