The Possible Effects of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles on Mobility and Infrastructure

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have a multitude of applications, of which leisure and military applications are best known and most discussed. Still relatively neglected are its applications in the mobility domain. Think for example of unmanned cargo aircraft, parcel delivery or unmanned aircraft for passenger transport. What are the possible spatial effects of cargo, delivery or passenger transport by UAVs? And what is the economic feasibility of UAVs compared to current modes of transport?  

Airneth will organize a seminar on the possible effects of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles on mobility and infrastructure on Thursday 8 December. Renowned speakers including Alain Lumbroso (OECD/ITF), Hans Heerkens (Twente University and chairman of the Platform for Unmanned Cargo Aircraft PUCA), Katrin Smolka (Erasmus University Rotterdam), Barry Koperberg (Wings for Aid) and Rogier Spoel (EVO) will discuss the following topics:
